Are You Beautiful? Are You Visually Unique? Models Wanted! Test Date Tues April 24th, 1-5pm

I am in the throes of building my portfolio of stock photography. “People and their life styles” are my specialty and I would love to have you be a part of the fun. A signed model release is necessary even to participate in the test date, before your 15 minutes of test shooting, which states you understand that images may be used for promotional, advertising, and nearly any purpose. Naturally, I promise not to allow them to be used for pornographic purposes (everyone asks!!!), but these could end up advertising hemorrhoids and the like! Still, the sessions include less pain and a lot more excitement than hemorrhoids do. Payment will be in the form of images on disk from your session, available two months from test date. If you’re called back for two or more shoots, you’ll be paid $30-$50/hour and receive images on disk as well. Let me know if you are interested in this or future test dates. If you have any photos of yourself, feel free to share them.
I love working with ALL ages! If you’re under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present, and sign the model release.
* Note that while obviously I love photographing glamorous “traditional” models**, I’m especially interested in growing my collection of ethnic diversity (if available, bring both cultural and basic outfits), Hipsters (bring your motor cycles and scooters and of course, sunglasses. Dress the part, and perhaps have a change into professional attire too.), Senior citizens (especially those physically fit, and with companion pets; or children, grandchildren or great grandchildren who look like you!). Still, if you’re simply plain old gorgeous, apply!!! 🙂

** I WILL need those of you who are gorgeous to model as brides and grooms in the upcoming Fashion In-Fusion session. All generations needed. Stay tuned until I know which designers are contributing dresses. If you are both glamorous AND fitting into one of the above categories, Whoo Hoo, you’ve made my day!!!

*** We will be having a special test shoot day for people with pets — (your dog, your cat, your cockatoo, your boa constrictor….) on June 13th.

I can’t wait to work with all of you.

  • Kara - Great to see you and Ellie at Zeek’s. I’m enjoying your blog! I will volunteer Audrey for modeling if you are in need of kids. Would you need test shots of her since you have all of her sessions?ReplyCancel

  • JanetKlinger - Hi Kara, We would definitely love to include Audrey. The test is great because it shows how she does when asked to do things out of the norm. We may put on a big hat, change her outfit, etc. At a paid portrait session I am specifically trying to capture Audrey’s personality. Portrait sessions are all about the client. Stock sessions include some of “her” but will have her pretending to be something/one other than she is too. I sure hope to see you there on the 24th. Call if you’d like a time. You can also just drop by and see if there’s a no-show slot available. Thanks for thinking of it.ReplyCancel

  • Lysa Hansen - A lovely woman on the street in front of Nordstroms asked me the other day if I was an Eileen Fisher model she had seen recently. Are you interested in just-turned-50 white women who’ve done yoga for 20 years? Not terribly ethnically diverse but perhaps age diverse….let me know.

    thanks!ReplyCancel

  • JanetKlinger - Hello Lysa,
You bet I’m interested! In fact just this morning at my 6:30 yoga class I signed up a 50+ Yoga gal, Moe, who I’ve known for years. As I mentioned to her you may illustrate yoga, but be prepared that your images of fitness often are popular to illustrate things like menopause, life insurance, various medications, financial services, etc. Basically, they may end up anywhere! If that works for you, great. There are still a couple of afternoon slots available on 4/24.ReplyCancel

  • Jill - Janet,
The girls would love to participate on May 2. We would want a specific time to show up, so let me know how I make an appointment time. JillReplyCancel
