Olympic Sculpture Park, Poop, Pork and Oz

How better to begin my blog than to feature photos from a day with my daughter, 2.5 year old Ellie, and my has-gone-through-it-all Canon EOS 20D?

As parents know, planning well your time between oatmeal, poops and naps results in a high Happy-Baby-Meter reading. Ours hit ten today! One day at a time though, as I try (at moments desperately) to balance life: more-than-full-time-photo-job, baby, co-op preschool, adorable hubby and as much exercise as possible.
When asked what she wanted to do today, spontaneously Ellie replied, “Scupture Pork”. We had biked there opening day, but Daddy and I hadn’t done so well with the timing juggle/ Baby-Meter reading that day. Remembering our tense ride home, the Wicked Witch in OZ comes to mind.

Since photographers often are interested in bag-contents, know these contents are rated B (for Baby).

Aside from having a blast with Ellie, I handed out one pregnancy postcard to a beautiful pregnant woman (her son is seen through the “bars” above), and a wedding 6×9 card to a potential assistant (gregarious student of the Art Institute of Seattle, Chris Kronenberger). After downloading the CF card, burning a CD and backing up to a second drive, Ellie is finally napping while I write this entry.

Life is good.
